About the course:

This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the foundational elements of music theory. Students will learn the basics of musical notation, including how to read and write notes, rhythms, and key signatures. The course covers major and minor scales, intervals, and simple chord structures, along with basic harmony and chord progressions. Additionally, students will explore the rudiments of melodic construction and an introduction to two-voice counterpoint. Practical exercises, ear training, and sight-singing are integrated to develop aural skills. The course also includes an overview of the history of Western music from the Middle Ages through the Renaissance, focusing on key composers and the evolution of musical notation.

Prior knowledge of music or knowledge about the instrument is needed.

Materials include Course book, music sheets and certificate.

Certificate will be provided at the end of the course.
